Real Madrid Club de Futbol – the one thing that unites us all as one, yet why is it that we feel so seperate? Fresh off a loss to a rival you hadn’t lost to in the league since 1999, you begin to sit back and reflect on what exactly is going. No, I’m not talking about the club or the players – I’m talking about the people on the outside – US, Madridistas, the fans. I don’t even know where to begin. Whatever happened to everyone being on the same page – “Madridista till i die, through the good and the bad.” Yeah, I don’t see that anymore.
Why is it that the biggest argument I hear from Real Madrid fans is Ancelotti continuing to choose Lopez over Casillas instead of arguing whether or not we have the depth to take La Decima all the way? Diego Lopez has been in the best form of his life and without him, Real Madrid will be in the bottom half of the table. Its just that simple. What’s most disappointing is no matter how much that man does, no matter how many amazing saves he makes, no matter how much he lays his body on the line and showcases his Madridismo, it will never be good enough for most people because he’s not “Casillas”. Its gotten to the point where I don’t even get angry anymore, I just hang my head in disappointment. Priorities – as fans we have responsibilities and its a shame the majority would rather argue who should start in goal instead of what heights we can reach as a team this season.
Why is that apparently Madridistas stayed outside the Bernabéu after the match and sang Mourinho’s name? Are these the same people that stood by José when we went through the constant struggles as we did last season? Oh wait, Mourinho didn’t have much of those “fans” behind him anyways. Why is that we constantly find the need to push people out, only to then realize what we once had, is now gone for good?
Another thing, the Özil situation. He left because he wanted to leave – why are we still talking about him? Not only that, but why do some find the need to blame Isco & Bale for his departure? Didn’t he leave on his own? Therefore isn’t Mesut to blame for his own departure? The sad part is the people that say this speak down on Bale & Isco and carry on as if they don’t deserve to be at Real Madrid. Priorities people, priorities. “Team Özil! Team Bale! Team EFF Özil, Isco all the way” No, just stop. You’re Team F*cking Stupid. We’re going against our own players people! Listen to yourselves!!
When are we going to start to support our team from head to toe – from the first player to the last player? For gods sake, #WeAreMadrid. No team Iker, Team Mourinho (when it had its time), Team Diego, Team Marcelo > Coentrão. Its TEAM REAL MADRID!!! This is what we’re all a part of! We need to wake up and realize that we have a job to do as well – be there for every. single. one. of our players, They need us and we need them.
Hala Madrid.
