Pending official word from the clubs, Diego Lopez has joined Italian Serie A club AC Milan on a four year contract (until 2018). He will undergo a medical on Monday and then sign his contract to make things official. He is slated to earn 2.5 million euros in salaries, same as what he gets at Real Madrid.
The deal was made official after days of deliberations between clubs and then was given the green light after the player's agent Garcia Quilon travelled to Milan earlier today.
Speaking of the deal, VP and CEO of AC Milan Adriano Galliani said, "Diego Lopez (deal) is 99% done". On their part, Milan's TV channel are making the due preparations as well.
Diego had joined Real Madrid after Iker had gotten injured in the league and then became Jose Mourinho and then Carlo Ancelotti's preferred choice for the goalkeeping spot.
