Newest Real Madrid signing Gareth Bale has been the center of attention as of late (really ALL summer) and he’s still managing to give some interviews. Here’s an interview he recently had with ‘BT Sport’:
On the agreement between Tottenham & Real Madrid: “I knew Real Madrid were interested in me from the beginning but chairman Daniel Levy had to do business for the sake of Tottenham and I completely understand that.”
On his transfer: “It’s been a tough time for me. It was stressful & I just had to be patient & try to think that an agreement would be reached. It was stressful, but it is an honor to play for Real Madrid.”
On his childhood: “When I was little, my friends & I always talked about European football & of course Real Madrid. At the time, they were the dominant force. I remember a family vacation in Spain. We took some Real Madrid shirts. When I played in the park, I pretended to be one of them. I have followed RM since then and I know their play of football & the team they have. It’s amazing and great to be here now.”
