Real Madrid vice-president Fernando Fernandez-Tapias spoke to reporters in La Coruña before yesterday’s friendly match about the Gareth Bale saga.
RM Vice-President: “There are problems, but I think it will all be straightened out. We thought he’d be here, but he hasn’t even flown to Madrid yet, although it could still happen. I think it will happen, but I couldn’t swear to it completely. We have to wait, because Spurs are stalling.” Tapias then concluded by saying, “I have no doubt of Bale’s ability, but without Bale, Real are still a force to be reckoned with – we have an amazing team.”
It is no secret that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is trying to string out every euro from Real Madrid in their bid for Bale. Real Madrid have put the money out for them, yet Tottenham have yet to accept an offer. The transfer window closes in a few days and the longer this goes on, the longer it looks as if it won’t happen. All may be decided on transfer deadline day….unfortunately.
