Carlo Ancelotti: "Cristiano Ronaldo is the team’s most important player and will continue to be so in the future."

Carlo Ancelotti spoke to reporters after his side's 6-0 win over AFC Bournemouth on a number of topics. The Italian manager also spoke on Cristiano Ronaldo and the important role the Portuguese superstar plays for the Spanish giants.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is the most important player in the team and will continue to be in the future, everyone knows him and he plays good games and its good for the club," said Ancelotti to reporters. He continued, "The most important thing is that the team worked hard and players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Özil, other important players and youngsters played with flair in attack and performed well."

Ancelotti also took some time to dwell on the future of striker Gonzalo Higuain. Many has been made of the Argentine's future, with reports claiming Real Madrid have agreed to sell him to Napoli. Ancelotti said, "Higuain is a fantastic player and right now is a Real Madrid player. Higuain to Napoli a done deal? Not true. I would like him to stay with us."
