Madrid are not only watching the evolution of Morata in Italy, they are also closely following the performance of two young players they have tied up until 2017 but are on-loan with other clubs: Casemiro (22) and Cheryshev (24). The first being the midfield general of Porto, while the Russian international is one of the stars of Villarreal.

Madrid have liked the way both players have grown this season and want to keep them when both return from their loan deals at the end of the season. The confidence in the pair is not something new, from the start no options to buy were included in the deals.

In the case of Casemiro, Madrid pondered bringing him back to the Spanish capital in January before they completed the signing of Lucas Silva but Julen Lopetegui, Porto’s Spanish coach, desperately held on to him. On his return to the Bernabéu, the Brazilian will place the departing Sami Khedira. With regards to Cheryshev, who scored for Villarreal at the Camp Nou recently, the intention is for him to have a similar role to Jesé and play when Cristiano or Gareth Bale do not.

Asensio will also join up at the end of the season after signing from Mallorca

Casemiro and Cheryshev will be joined in the summer by Marco Asensio. Madrid signed the young sensation last November for six years at a price of 3.5 million euros. If Mallorca are promoted to the first division at the end of the season he could be loaned back for the 2015-16 campaign. Otherwise, Ancelotti will make the call on what to do with him. The idea at this point is to loan him out to another Spanish team, like what happened to Cheryshev.
